Common questions

The questions we are asked most about Xperios. If yours isn’t here, ask us.

Can I use Xperios on any type of device?
The Xperios desktop app runs on Windows 10 or later. Parents, pupils and teachers use the online portals in any modern browser, and teachers can also use the iOS app.
Do users have to be connected to the internet?
Teachers can see their information and record attendance and lesson notes offline in the app. Administrators can view information and run reports offline, but need to be online to change anything.
How long does it take to implement?
As little as 3 or 4 weeks, depending on the size of your organisation, how complex your data is to move, and how much time your team has for providing data and training.
Do I have to run updates?
No. Updates are applied automatically in the background when you open Xperios.
Will Xperios connect to our other systems?
Yes. We regularly connect Xperios to online payment providers, central pupil databases and accounting packages.
Will you provide training?
Xperios has help built in, and the Xperios guide is free to everyone, so your team can learn at its own pace.
Can you move our data from our current system?
Yes. We have moved many organisations’ data into Xperios, from Ensemble and from other systems.
How is our data kept secure?
Your data is held in Microsoft Azure’s UK data centres. Xperios has tools to help you meet data protection rules, such as anonymising records after the periods you set. See Data Hosting and Compliance.
How do we get support, and what does it cost?
Everyone can use the guide and the help built into Xperios. The support ticket system comes with the mid-range plans, and premium support with the premium plans. See Pricing.
Do we pay for modules we don’t use?
Xperios is charged per administrator per month, including data hosting and access for teachers, parents and schools. You can switch off modules you don’t use to keep things simple, but there is no discount for doing so.
Will it cost more if we take on more teachers or pupils?
Prices are based on the number of administrators. Some plans have a limit on pupil numbers; talk to us about the size of your data.
Can we invoice through Xperios?
Yes: parent and school invoices for tuition, hire, ensembles and more. Xperios can produce and send them on a schedule, and take regular payments.
Can we take card payments?
Yes. Use Paritor’s integrated card payments, or connect your own Worldpay, Stripe or Sage Pay account. We can connect other providers on request.
Can we create our own reports?
Xperios has built-in reports and makes it simple to build your own. On the premium plans you can also connect data visualisation tools such as Power BI through the API.
